My wife Maryann and Pops
In memory of John Gyorki, born January 18th, 1936 in Paks, Hungary. He led an extraordinary life full of unimaginable journey’s; full of real life stories of survival. He fled his homeland in 1956 to escape the grip of communism, so that he could establish a life of freedom, in the United States of America. His dream of raising a family in a freedom of choice land became fulfilled in amazing ways. He left his homeland with a skilled trade that allowed him to take part and earn himself a rewarded life that he so desperately dreamed of.
John was a man everyone looked up to. His compassion and love overflowed into the lives of many filling voids of the heart beyond measure to those who longed for it.
He built a rock-solid life with his equally heart gifted wife, Margit Gyorki (Toros). She also breathed love into the hearts of her family and friends as she survives her husband.
John was a Husband, Father, Grandfather, and gifted mentor. He is, profoundly missed by his wife, Margit Toros Gyorki of Ridgeland, SC; sons, John C. Gyorki (Mary Ann) of Pinckney, MI; Louis J. Szalay (Jennie) of Beaufort, SC; daughter, Amy Geissbuhler (James) of Beverly Hills, MI; Zsuzsanna Toros of Westland, MI; Margit Erica Sharpe (Fred) of Ridgeland, SC; brother, Frank Gyorki (Margit)of Paks, Hungary; ten grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.
